Poona Kheera cucumbers are widely used in Indian cuisine as a cooling element to balance spicy and sour flavors. The cucumbers are unique from other varieties as they can be used at any stage of maturity. The best thing about Poona Keera is that it will never, ever get bitter. This cucumber looks like a large russet potato with a russet brown color. It is very tender, crisp, juicy and delicious. It turns from white to golden yellow, then to russet brown.
