General Information:

Kidney beans are one of the healthiest types of beans to use as a protein source, with slightly less fat and saturated fat than other varieties of bean but with comparable amounts of fibre and protein. Kidney beans is also known as the chilli bean because of its dark red colour and the visually resemblance the shape of a kidney. Kidney beans are a good source of protein also it is excellent source of molybdenum.

• Most types of beans are fairly drought resistant, but check the surface of the soil frequently. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. A good layer of mulch will deter weeds and help maintain soil moisture.
